Description
The WEIMA WLK 6 S is a heavy-duty single-shaft shredder designed for processing plastics, paper, cardboard and light metals. Suitable for manufacturing, warehousing and recycling operations, it reduces bulky materials into a consistent size for recycling, reprocessing or disposal. The machine supports efficient resource recovery by reducing material volume, improving handling and enabling downstream processing in single-stage or two-stage recycling systems.
Operating Principles
Materials are loaded into the hopper and fed to the rotor by a hydraulically controlled ram. The rotor cuts material against adjustable counter-knives, producing a consistent output size determined by the screen. PLC-controlled operation automatically adjusts feed rates to suit material flow and maximise throughput. The system can process rigid plastics, paper products, cardboard and light metals while delivering efficient size reduction, reduced transport costs and improved recycling outcomes.
