Classification Compacting/Compressing, Dehydration/Dewatering/Desiccation
Material Types Ferrous metals, Mixed Plastics, Other Recyclable, Rigid Plastic
Operations
Description The WEIMA PUEHLER C Series is a hydraulic dewatering press designed to remove liquids and reduce the volume of metal swarf, grinding sludge and wet plastic residues. The system recovers valuable coolants, oils and emulsions for reuse while producing compact, transportable discs with reduced moisture content. By lowering waste weight and volume, the C Series helps manufacturers and recyclers reduce storage, handling and disposal costs while improving resource recovery outcomes.
Operating Principles Material is fed into a large press chamber where a hydraulic ram compresses it into dense 200 mm discs. During compression, liquids such as water, coolants, oils and emulsions are extracted and collected for recycling or disposal. The conical discharge chamber generates back pressure to maximise dewatering and compaction. Unlike screw press systems, the C Series uses a simple hydraulic design with no auger, minimising blockages, handling contaminants effectively and ensuring reliable operation.
