Description
For the removal of ferrous material from a material stream travelling on a conveyor belt, a range of electromagnetic overbelt separators is available. These may be installed in-line or across the infeed conveyor and are available in a range of sizes and powers to meet all applications. More powerful magnets are supplied with oil cooling.
Operating Principles
The range of Wagner Magnete permanent magnetic overbelt separators are built from laser cut manganese steel sheet, which is not only hard, but also prevents ferrous items sticking to the frame. In addition, the sealed magnet body is largely shielded and all cavities are enclosed to prevent ingress of foreign objects. Bearings are generously proportioned and protected from dirt ingress. A range of discharge belt types is available, covering a wide range of applications.
