Description
The Plasmac Alpha is a direct-feed recycling extruder designed to convert post-industrial plastic waste into high-quality reusable pellets. It processes edge trims, off-spec reels, plastic flakes and production scrap without the need for pre-shredding, helping manufacturers reduce waste, lower raw material costs and support closed-loop recycling. The system produces recycled pellets that can be reintroduced into production, maximising resource recovery and reducing landfill disposal.
Operating Principles
Plastic waste is fed directly into the extruder screw where Plasmac's Short Screw Technology (S.S.T.) gently plasticises the material at low shear and low melt temperatures. The material is then repelletised into high-quality recycled pellets. Eliminating pre-shredding reduces dust, energy consumption and maintenance requirements while preserving polymer quality. The compact system can process trims, reels, flakes and granulated scrap in continuous recycling operations.
