Operations
Description The Plasmac Omega is an integrated shredder-extruder recycling system designed to convert post-industrial plastic waste into high-quality reusable pellets. The system accepts a wide range of plastic scrap formats, including trims, reels, lumps, flakes and production waste, eliminating the need for separate size-reduction equipment. It supports in-house recycling, reduces raw material consumption and disposal costs, and enables manufacturers to establish efficient closed-loop recycling processes.
Operating Principles Plastic waste is fed into a slow-rotating shredder via trim basket, roll feed or elevator systems. The shredded material is transferred directly to the extruder, where Plasmac's Short Screw Technology (S.S.T.) processes the material at low shear and low temperatures to minimise degradation. The material is then pelletised into high-quality recycled pellets suitable for reuse in manufacturing. The integrated system reduces dust, energy consumption and maintenance while maximising recycling efficiency and pellet quality.
