Description Macerate food waste to transport.
Operating Principles Biofeed is a simple to use system that closes the loop on food waste. It reduces the cost of disposal and provides long term benefits to the environment. Step 1 Food Waste is collected on site. Step 2 After collection, up to 80 Litres of food waste is tipped into the Biofeed for processing at one time Step 3 The food waster is macreated/shredded with the semi solid material being pumped into a holding tank. The Biofeed can process up to 1,100 litres of organic waste in just 20 minute Step 4 When the holding tank is nearing full, an automated email is sent to the waste collector who will then collect the semi solid material from the holding tank Step 5 The organic matter is a suitable feedstock for anaerobic digestion, generating biogas for renewable energy generation. In addition we also take the liquid to an organics recycling facility where it is turned into organic fertiliser. The organic product created from Biofeed plays an important role in the life cycle of healthy, organic crops by improving soil conditions and nutrient levels.
